To The Reader’s Forum: I read with interest the letter to the editor on September 5th on a great way to honor the president's memory. I am in total agreement with the writer but I also have a way of honoring him. Go to a beach, work area, recreational facility and what do you see? The little grey buildings that come in very handy for visitors or workers. They are called Port-A-Johns. My thought is they should now be called Port-A-Dons in honor of our president. To The Reader’s Forum: As I write, there are about 53 days from Election Day, 2026 and the Republicans are holding a “convention” in Texas. Trump spoke yesterday and offered every adult citizen $5,000 if the Republicans continue to hold majorities in both the House and Senate in the 2026 elections. Another Great Summer In Bemus Point

To The Reader’s Forum: As a life-long resident of Bemus Point, I can look back on many summers – some better than others. What made the favorable years? Was it the weather, the economy, the activities on and around the lake, or those in the village? More than likely it was some combination of all three. To The Reader’s Forum: Recently the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) which merges the US military industrial complex with Israel’s.
