CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT —CHAUTAUQUA --- Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Friday morning. The operator failed to comply and fled the area. A short time later the vehicle was found inoperable and abandoned. At about 8:15 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to Route 430 in Dewittville for a suspicious male. The male identified himself as Samuel A Hernandez Garcia, 23, of Elyria Ohio. While speaking with Hernandez Garcia he did attempt to flee the area on foot. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — CHAUTAUQUA — At around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Route 430 in the town. Through an investigation, the operator of the vehicle, David R Ralph II, 35, of Westfield, was found to be driving while intoxicated. Ralph was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, moving from lane unsafely, and failure to keep right. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT Kayla Wiberg, 32, and Dale Wagatha, 41, were arrested and charged with third-degree trespassing following an incident which took place Monday evening. Officers responded to a complaint at 6 p.m. at the Arcade Building on North Main Street, Jamestown, of people unlawfully entering it. Officers report upon making entry that they allegedly found Wiberg and Wagatha in the building. Both were arrested and transported to the city jail. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joseph B. Trippe, 23, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and petty larceny following an incident which Monday morning. Officers were called to the Jamestown Cycle Shop regarding the prior theft of a bicycle at or around 7:02 a.m. Officers reviewed store video footage and identified Trippe as the person on camera, allegedly cutting the lock off the bike then stealing it. JAMESTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT — A Fulton Street fire injured at least one resident in the city on Sunday morning. Jamestown Fire Department reports they were called to the blaze after 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found heavy fire in the rear of the structure at 234 Fulton St. on the first and second floors of a 2 1/2-story residential home. One burn victim was located at a home across the street and was treated and transported by Alstar to UPMC-Chautauqua. The bulk of the fire was knocked down within 30 minutes. Four charged in grand-larceny theft in city — Four individuals are facing charges after an incident on the Norfolk Southern tracks near Lucas Avenue in Dunkirk. City police responded to a reported larceny in progress around 10 a.m. Thursday. Detectives observed four subjects enter railroad property and steal a large spool of wire valued at more than $1,000. Patrol stopped the subjects’ vehicle a short distance later and identified the subjects as Samantha Rushforth, 27, Aron Sikes, 30, Juan Ortiz, 40, and Dakota Murphy, 26.
