LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

– LAKEWOOD – Jacob C. Sandy, 26, listed as homeless, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance July 3 at 8:04 p.m. after an officer patrolling East Fairmount Avenue reportedly saw Sandy, who the officer knew had an arrest warrant from Ellicott Town Court. Sandy was allegedly found with methamphetamine. Sandy was turned over to the Ellicott Police Department and will be in Busti Town Court later.

– Ray R. Babyak, 21, of Jamestown was arrested at 9:30 p.m. July 3 after he was taken into custody on an arrest warrant by the Jamestown Police Department. Babyak had allegedly stolen $519.34 in merchandise from the Lakewood WalMart store in June, leading to an arrest warrant for petit larceny. Babyak will be in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Felix Rodriguez Gomez, 38, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest at 8:44 p.m. June 30 after police responded to a south side address for a reported domestic incident. Rodriguez Gomez allegedly violated an order of protection to stay away from another person and then tried to run from officers before he was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Rodriguez Gomez was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, a digital scale and plastic bags commonly used for packaging controlled substances. Rodriguez Gomez will be in court later.
