CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – Benjamin Sebdza, 38, of 3 Seymour St., of Jamestown, was charged on March 30 with third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of felony driving while intoxicated, and multiple traffic infractions. According to deputies, Sebzda was traveling on Route 242/Windmill Road in the town of Napoli when deputies pursued his vehicle. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joshua L. Reynolds, 30, of Jamestown was charged with uninspected motor vehicle and being a fugitive from justice after a traffic stop at 3:51 p.m. Monday on Baker Street near Colfax Street. According to a police report, officers pulled a vehicle over and identified Reynolds, who allegedly had a warrant from Warren City Court in Pennsylvania for possession of a controlled substance. Reynolds was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – DUNKIRK – Gwen Steger, 44, of the town of Pomfret was charged with petit larceny. It is alleged that on March 8, Steger stole property from TJ Maxx on Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk. She will answer to the charge in Dunkirk Town Court at a later date. – HANOVER – Eugene Eberhardt, 70, of Silver Creek has been charged with third-degree attempted assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Two Jamestown residents face charges after a traffic stop at 3:39 p.m. Thursday on Newland Avenue near Charles Street. City police and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies working on a GIVE overtime detail report seeing a black Audi driven by Codie D. Swartz, 24, of Jamestown. Officers said they knew Swartz’s driver’s license had been revoked and pulled the vehicle over. Swartz was allegedly found with a small amount of cocaine. Eddie B. Texidor, 18, of Jamestown was riding in the vehicle, according to a police report, and was allegedly found with oxycodone. ...

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – MAYVILLE – Jeffrey Buchanan, 34, of Erie, Pa. was charged March 21 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Buchanan, an inmate of the county jail, is accused of throwing his jail issued electronic tablet multiple times into the cell walls and bars, rendering the tablet inoperable.
