On Monday, at 8:25 a.m., deputies were conducting a warrant check at a Stockton business for Andrew Whitford, 30, of Main Street. While making contact with Whitford, deputies observed a vehicle occupied by Shannon Boardman, 31 and Brandon Vangiesen, 32. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Mark G. Watson, 33, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. On Thursday morning, officers responded to a North Side church regarding a larceny complaint. A subsequent investigation determined that an unknown person stole approximately 60 feet of copper gutter downspout from the church. Local scrap yards were notified to be on the lookout for any person attempting to scrap such property. Wilson, 39, of North Harmony was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 1:15 p.m. Thursday after deputies responded to a reported altercation. CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — ALLEGANY — A Jamestown man is facing second-degree burglary, petit larceny and two counts of second-degree attempted burglary after an incident at 3 p.m. Monday. Deputies allege Marcus A. Norman, 55, was involved in two separate burglaries on the St. Bonaventure campus and a residence in the village on Dec. 2, 2023 and March 17. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT --- At around 12:03 a.m. Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Through an investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Antwain O. Jackson, 47, of Buffalo, was found to be driving while intoxicated. Jackson was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, speed in zone, and moving from lane unsafely. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office along with the Chautauqua County Department of Mental Hygiene and Social Services have received multiple complaints that unknown individuals have been going door to door claiming to be from the department of social services. These individuals claim to be giving out free tablets and cell phones.
