ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Samuel L. Arrington, 33, of Jamestown was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. On Sunday, at noon, police stopped Arrington for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt. It is alleged that Arrington was also in possession of marijuana. He was given an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court.

Ryan C. Spriggs, 31, of Ashville was charged with DWI common law and DWI per se. On Friday, at 1:52 a.m., police located a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle that struck a curb in Jamestown and caused damage to the road. It is alleged that the driver – Spriggs – was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court.

Michael J. Pace, 18, of Busti was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. On Sunday, at 3:23 a.m., police responded to a fight at Arrowmart, located at 2805 Route 60 in Jamestown. It is alleged that Pace was in possession of brass knuckles. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Court on Oct. 28.

Hunter C. Halberg, 19, of Fredonia was charged with DWI. On Saturday, at 9:24 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle on Route 60 in Ellicott for an alleged equipment violation. It is alleged that the driver – Halberg -was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER-Martha R. Leroy, 21, of Irving was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, failure to stop at stop sign, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and uninspected motor vehicle. On Sunday, at 1:42 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle that allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign in Hanover. The driver – Leroy – was allegedly intoxicated. She was given an appearance ticket for Hanover Court.

CHAUTAUQUA -Cory C. Casler, 41, of Panama was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment. On Sept. 22, at 1:17 p.m., Casler allegedly made a harassing and threatening phone call to a victim. Casler was given an appearance ticket for Chautauqua Court.

SHERIDAN – James E. Pittman Jr., 25, of Buffalo was charged with false impersonation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator and moving from lane unsafely. Leah M. Follman, 25, of Killbuck was charged with open container in motor vehicle. On Sunday, at 1:53 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 20 in Sheridan for an alleged traffic infraction. The driver – Pittman – was allegedly in possession of prescription narcotic pills and had suspended driving privileges. He also allegedly gave police a false name and date of birth multiple times. His passenger – Follman – allegedly had an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Both were given appearance tickets to Sheridan Court.

NORTH HARMONY – Joseph L. Estus, 25, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, no seatbelt and unsafe tire. Tara L. Badgley, 26, of Jamestown was charged with open container in a motor vehicle. On Friday, at 11:09 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 474 in North Harmony for an alleged traffic infraction. The driver – Estus – was allegedly in possession of a prescription narcotic pills and a quantity of marijuana. Badgley allegedly had an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Both were given appearance tickets for North Harmony Court.

CARROLL-Robert L. Houghwot Jr., 40, of Frewsburg was charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI – child in vehicle, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, no/inadequate headlights, failure to keep right and unlawful possession of marijuana. On Sept. 21, at 12:24 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Frew Run Road in Carroll for multiple traffic violations. It is alleged that the driver – Houghwot – was intoxicated and had two children under the age of 16 as passengers. Houghwot allegedly had a prior DWI conviction within the past 10 years and had revoked driving privileges. He was remanded to the county jail and was scheduled to appear in Carroll Court.

HANOVER-Michael S. Szafranski, 56, of Blasdell was charged with DWI, DWI per se with BAC of .08 percent or higher, failure to signal turn and moving from lane unsafely. On Sept. 20, at 12:31 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 20 in Hanover for an alleged traffic infraction. It is alleged that the driver – Szafranski – was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Hanover Court.

POMFRET – Reginald A. Kohler, 26, of Cassadaga was charged with driving while ability impaired by both drugs and alcohol, failure to stop at stop sign, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unsafe tires. On Sept. 19, at 1:30 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle that allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign in Pomfret. It is alleged that the driver – Kohler – was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Pomfret Court.

SILVER CREEK-Dale W. Miller Jr., 33, of Silver Creek was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. On Sept. 18, at 5:45 p.m., deputies were called to a residence on Adams Street in Silver Creek for a reported physical altercation. It is alleged that Miller shoved another individual and destroyed two of the victim’s phones, preventing any calls to 911. Miller was remanded to the county jail in lieu of bail and given an appearance ticket for Silver Creek Court.

DUNKIRK – Chad Blakely, 30, of Forestville was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. On Sept. 16, at 5:50 p.m., Blakely was discovered with a small quantity of marijuana. He was given an appearance ticket for Dunkirk Court.

MAYVILLE – Titiana Berrios, 26, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree welfare fraud, third-degree grand larceny, first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and misuse of food stamps. On Sept. 17, at 12:35 p.m., deputies charged Berrios with four felonies related to welfare fraud. It is alleged that Berrios failed to notify the Department of Health and Human Services that her child was no longer residing in her household. It is further alleged that Berrios was living out of state and receiving benefits in New York state for a period of time. Between Nov. 1, 2013 and March 31, Berrios allegedly received $2,206 in unentitled food stamps and $1,676.66 in unentitled cash family assistance. She was scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jamaar Cuningham, 20, of Buffalo was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Markeel D. Hillson, 19, of Buffalo was charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. On Monday, at 10:43 p.m., police responded to a reported burglary in progress on the east side of the city. A description of the suspects was given to police and officers located two men in the parking lot of a local business. It is alleged that Cuningham and Hillson entered a home on the east side and fled the scene when the police being contacted. Cuningham allegedly attempted to hide a quantity of crack cocaine by dropping it on the ground. Both were scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court after being taken to the city jail.

Dennis D. Parkhurst, 60, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI. On Wednesday at 11:10 p.m., police responded to East Second Street at Spring Street for a reported intoxicated man attempting to drive a vehicle. The man was identified as Parkhurst. He was taken to the city jail and is scheduled to appear in city court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

LAKEWOOD – Steven D. Martin, 57, was charged with obstructing and third-degree assault. Nicholes S. Martin, 31, was charged with obstructing and resisting arrest. On Monday, at 1:15 a.m., police responded to a 314 Oak St. residence in Lakewood for a woman in need of assistance. Upon arrival, Nicholes S. Martin allegedly denied police entry into the home by slamming and locking the door. Entry was gained later with assistance from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Ellicott Police Department and Jamestown Police Department. Upon entry, it was determined that Steven D. Martin allegedly assaulted a female and injured her right shoulder. The victim was taken to WCA Hospital by the Lakewood Fire Department. Both Steven D. Martin and Nicholes S. Martin were given appearance tickets to Busti Court.

LAKEWOOD – Richard E. Brown, 37, of Lakewood was charged with petit larcey. On Tuesday at 7:35 p.m., Brown was apprehended after allegedly stealing $37.07 worth of merchandise from the Lakewood Walmart. Brown was remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 property bond.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

POMFRET-Jayson M. Anello, 36, of South Dayton was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, improper left turn, moving from lane unsafely and driving across hazard markings. On Friday at 1:29 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle that allegedly made an improper left turn and several lane violations. It is alleged that the driver – Anello – was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Pomfret Court.

NORTH HARMONY-Rachel M. King, 23, of Erie, Pennsylvania, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, unregistered motor vehicle, unlicensed operator and failure to dim lights. On Thursday at 12:45 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 394 in North Harmony for an alleged traffic infraction. It is alleged that the driver – King – was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. She was given an appearance ticket for North Harmony Court.

KIANTONE-Cathy E. Waddington, 46, of Falconer was remanded to the county jail on Sept. 16. At 2:48 p.m., deputies were called to 2259 Route 60 in Kiantone for a report of a person issuing a bad check. An investigation determined that Waddington allegedly paid for service done on her vehicle on May 14 with a personal check, which later bounced and payment was never received. An arrest warrant was issued out of Kiantone Court and Waddington was later remanded in the county jail in lieu of bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Katrina M. Nolan, 26, of Alden was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to use designated lane, open alcoholic container, driving while intoxicated per se, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. On Thursday, at 8:26 p.m., police responded to the area of Hallock Street near Hillcrest Avenue for a reported personal injury vehicle accident. It is alleged that Nolan was speeding southbound on Hallock Street, veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole. It is also alleged that she was intoxicated, in possession of a controlled substance and had a suspended driver’s license for an alcohol-related offense. She was transported to the city jail.

Joshua A. Bang, 23, was charged with second-degree criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. On Monday, at 11:25 a.m., police responded to 14 Colfax St. for a reported physical domestic incident. The victim told police that her boyfriend – Bang – allegedly choked her while she was holding their 1-year-old child. It is also alleged that Bang choked the victim again when she attempted to leave. Bang was taken to the city jail and is pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Tracie Rene Wright was charged with petit larceny and criminal mischief. On Wednesday, at 4:50 p.m., she was apprehended after allegedly taking miscellaneous food and merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. She was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

Ryan J. Newell, 33, of Falconer was charged with petit larceny. On Sept. 14, at 7 p.m., Newell was picked up by the Dunkirk Police Department for two outstanding bench warrants from the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. He was turned over to the LBPD, arraigned in Busti Court and later taken to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 property bond.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

MAYVILLE-Lori A. Haskins, 52, of Cassadaga was charged with third-degree welfare fraud, third-degree grand larceny, misuse of food stamps over $3,000 and first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. On Thursday, at 2 p.m., deputies apprehended Haskins after a joint investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services Program Integrity Unit. It is alleged that Haskins failed to notify DHHS that her husband was employed and had income. It is further alleged that Haskins filed false paperwork with DHHS which allowed her to receive unentitled benefits. Specifically, between Dec. 1, 2014, and April 30, Haskins allegedly received $5,233 in unentitled cash assistance and $4,168 in food stamps. The total of the fraudulently received benefits was $9,401.50. Haskins will appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

HANOVER-Tonya M. Penvose, 40, of Silver Creek was charged with DWI, DWI per se, no/insufficient tail lamps and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. On Monday, at 2:51 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle after it allegedly committed a vehicle and traffic infraction in Hanover. It is alleged that the driver – Penvose – was intoxicated and had a suspended driver’s license. She was given an appearance ticket for Hanover Court.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

Rachel A Blanchard, 32, of Ripley was charged with 10 counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and ten counts of identity theft. On Sept. 14, Blanchard was taken into custody after a lengthy investigation by the State Police and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. It is alleged that Blanchard used stolen credit cards at local convenience stores in Mayville and Fredonia. She was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $40,000 bail.

ELLICOTT-Huston T. Harshaw, 40, of Columbia, South Carolina, was charged with DWI, driving while ability impaired by drugs, fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. On Sept. 16, Harshaw was pulled over for allegedly speeding on Interstate 86 in Ellicott. It is alleged that Harshaw was in possession of marijuana and an illegal handgun. He was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail.

ELLINGTON-Joshua A. Whitacre, 22, of Ellington was charged with petit larceny and false written statement. On Sept. 16, State Police were investigating an Aug. 29 report of money missing from an Ellington residence. Investigation determined that Whitacre, a relative of the victims, had allegedly entered their residence and took $150 from a purse. He was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $3,000 bail.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Paula S. Holmes, 48, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated, failure to submit to pre-screen and failure to maintain lane. At 12:27 a.m., officers executed a vehicle stop on East Third Street for an observed traffic violation. Further investigation revealed Holmes to be operating the vehicle while allegedly in an intoxicated condition. She was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident. Holmes refused to submit to a chemical breath test while at Jamestown City Jail. She was charged and is currently awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI – Karlie L. Hallett, 24, was charged Friday with petit larceny after she allegedly shoplifted $130.12 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. Hallett was issued an appearance ticket, and will appear in Busti Town Court at a later date.

BUSTI – Emily M. Lundmark, 24, of Warren, Pa., received multiple charges Saturday. At 12:18 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and executed a traffic stop. The vehicle was found to be operated by Lundmark, who was allegedly intoxicated. Lundmark was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, open container in a motor vehicle, inadequate tail lights and speed in zone. She will appear in Busti Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

CATTARAUGUS POLICE DEPARTMENT

CATTARAUGUS – Danielle L. Williams, 18, of Versailles was charged Saturday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. At 3:57 p.m., patrol initiated a traffic stop for speeding. The traffic stop led to the discovery that Williams had a suspended license for failure to answer a summons in Ashford Town Court dating back to Aug. 21. She was taken into custody and later released on appearance tickets, receiving two summons. She is expected in New Albion Town Court next month.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Dennis R. Riffel, 69, of Kennedy was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and moving from lane unsafely. On Tuesday, at 11:45 p.m., police responded to the area of Buffalo Street and Swanson Place for a three-car property damage accident. When officers arrived, they learned that an eastbound vehicle had sideswiped two parked cars on Buffalo Street. Officers made contact with Riffel a short distance from the scene and determined that he was allegedly intoxicated. Riffel was given an appearance ticket for Jamestown City Court.

Thomas M. Dolan of Lakewood was charged with following too closely and DWI. On Tuesday, at 11:03 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident in the area of 1355 E. Second St. It is alleged that Dolan was intoxicated and struck another vehicle from behind when it abruptly stopped. Dolan was taken to the city jail.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

Deborah L. Phillips, 64, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. On Monday, at 9 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute in Falconer. It is alleged that Phillips got into an argument with her husband and threw a foot stool through a door window. Phillips was arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to the county jail. Ellicott police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.

Shane R. Eshbach, 25, of Jamestown was charged with shoplifting. On Tuesday, at 8 p.m., police responded to the K-Mart in Ellicott for a shoplifting complaint. It is alleged that Eshbach stole an air conditioning unit. He will appear in Ellicott Court on Sept. 30.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Jennifer L. Lobdell, 39, of Jamestown was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance outside original container and open container in motor vehicle. On Wednesday, at 11:42 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle that was allegedly speeding on Baker Street Extension. It is alleged that a passenger – Lobdell – had active warrants out of Westfield Court. She also allegedly had an open container inside the vehicle and was in possession of a controlled substance. She was arraigned in Busti Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on bail.

William L. Blume, 31, and Tarand R. Kindred, 31, both of Jamestown, were charged with petit larceny. On Sunday, at 3 a.m., Blume and Kindred were turned over to the Lakewood-Busti police after the Jamestown Police Department apprehended them at a fight in Jamestown. The two men were linked to a previous theft of televisions at the Lakewood Walmart. Both were arraigned in Busti Court.

Douglas A. Nelson, 54, of Lakewood was charged with petit larceny. On Tuesday, at 10 p.m., he was given an appearance ticket to Busti Court for an alleged larceny that occurred in Busti.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Paul R. Peru, 36, of Falconer was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to use designated lane and obstructing governmental administration. On Friday, at 12:29 a.m., police responded to the area of East Second Street at Hopkins Avenue for a report of a vehicle striking a power pole. Upon arrival, police were advised that the driver reportedly fled the scene by foot. Police located the driver – Peru – hiding in the backyard of a residence on Hopkins Avenue. He was given an appearance ticket for Jamestown City Court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Angela M. Brady, 52, of Gerry was charged with petit larceny. On Sept. 3, at 12:28 p.m., Brady was charged after allegedly failing to scan $44.88 worth of merchandise in the self-checkout lane at the Lakewood Walmart. She will appear in Busti Court today.

Julie K. Stutzman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. On Wednesday, at 8:30 p.m., Stutzman was taken into custody on an outstanding arrest warrant for allegedly committing a larceny at the Lakewood Walmart on Sept. 2. She was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HARMONY-Randall D. Lawergren, 58, of Panama was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and third-degree criminal tampering. On Friday, at 8:45 a.m., deputies responded to Button Valley Road near Eddy Road for a report of a disorderly person in the road. Upon arrival, deputies observed Lawergren allegedly being disorderly and causing traffic issues. Once placed inside a patrol vehicle, Lawergren allegedly started to spit all over the interior of the vehicle, causing an unnecessary mess. He was committed to the county jail with bail set at $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 property bond.

HANOVER-Justin E. Moore, 39, of Orchard Park was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and improper headlights. On Sept. 2, at 10:05 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle that was allegedly operating with inadequate head lights. It is alleged that the driver – Moore – was in possession of marijuana. He was given an appearance ticket for Hanover Court.

CHAUTAUQUA-Jennifer R. McConnell, 45, of Mayville was charged with felony DWI, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without interlock device, false impersonation, unlicensed operator and inadequate muffler. On Sept. 3, at 7:23 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle of allegedly having an inadequate muffler on South Erie Street in Mayville. The driver – McConnell – was allegedly intoxicated and had revoked driving privileges for a prior DWI conviction in the past 10 years. She was remanded to the county jail with bail.

HARMONY-Theodore L. Francisco, 24, of Ashville was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with BAC of .18 percent or more and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. On Saturday, at 3:08 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on State Lands in the Wilcox Road area of Harmony. It is alleged that the driver – Francisco – was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Harmony Court.

BROCTON-Ryan K. Miller, 35, of Portland was charged with DWI, DWI per se, driving across hazard marking, moving from lane unsafely and throwing refuse on the highway. On Wednesday, at 8:41 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle for allegedly committing multiple traffic infractions. The driver – Miller – was allegedly intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Brocton Court.

ELLINGTON-Austin B. King, 18, of Cherry Creek was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. On Friday, at 9 p.m., deputies responded to a reported road rage incident on Waterboro Road in Ellington. It is alleged that King threw a glass mason jar at a vehicle which was passing him on Waterboro Road. The other vehicle reportedly sustained damage in excess of $250. King was given an appearance ticket for Ellington Court.

MAYVILLE-Nicholas Shields, 25, of Mayville was charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt. On Friday, at 4:40 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on Spruce Drive in Chautauqua for a reported disturbance. It is alleged that Shields punched a female victim who had a valid order of protection against him. He was arraigned in Westfield Court and remanded to the county jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 property bond.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

LAKEWOOD-Thomas D. Przepiora, 59, of Mayville was charged with DWI, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and no seat belt. On Monday, at 6 p.m., State Troopers pulled over a vehicle on Summit Avenue in Lakewood for a driver allegedly not wearing a seat belt. It is alleged that the driver – Przepiora – was intoxicated. He was arraigned in Busti Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $2,000 bail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CHAUTAUQUA – Brian G. McGarry, 46, of Euclid, Ohio, was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher. On Sunday, at 3:03 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 430 in Chautauqua for allegedly speeding. It is alleged that the driver – McGarry – was intoxicated with a BAC three times higher than the legal limit. He was given an appearance ticket for Chautauqua Court.

MAYVILLE – Mercedez Jiminez, 43, of Mayville was charged with petit larceny. On Aug. 8, at 1 p.m., an investigation into a larceny at a residence on Meadow Lane in Mayville led to Mercedez Jiminez being charged. Jiminez allegedly took a necklace from the Meadow Lane residence. She was issued an appearance ticket for Mayville Court.

ELLERY – Matthew O. Isaacson, 60, of Bemus Point was charged with driving over hazard markings, DWI and DWI per se. On Sept. 2, at 6:15 p.m., deputies pulled over Isaacson for allegedly driving across hazard markings on Route 430 in Ellery. It is alleged that Isaacson was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Ellery Court.

HANOVER – Nichole L. Pachucinski, 36, of Irving was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and first-degree unlawful dealing with a child. On Friday, at 11:03 p.m., deputies responded to a Hanover address to check on the well being of an individual. Upon arrival, deputies located a vehicle leaving the address. MAYVILLE – Cathleen K. Bryant, 60, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and misuse of food stamps. On Wednesday, at 9:45 a.m., Bryant was charged after allegedly receiving $1,417.50 in unentitled cash assistance and $582 in unentitled food stamps between January and April. An investigation revealed that Bryant returned to employment shortly after applying for benefits and allegedly failed to report her employment to social services. She was given an appearance ticket to Jamestown City Court. The welfare fraud investigation was conducted jointly by the Sheriff’s Office and the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services Program Integrity Unit.

DUNKIRK – Scott A. Kuzdzal, 46, of Baltimore, Maryland, was charged with inadequate head lamp, refusal to take pre-breath test and DWI. On Saturday, at 1:12 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Brigham Road in Dunkirk for allegedly having one working head light. The driver – Kuzdzal – was allegedly intoxicated and refused to take a pre-breath test on the roadside. He was given an appearance ticket for Dunkirk Court.

MAYVILLE – Grace L. Roberson, 28, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, DWI per se, unlicensed operator, moving from lane unsafely and driving across hazard marking. On Monday, at 10:40 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on West Chautauqua Street in Mayville for allegedly committing a traffic offense. The driver – Roberson – was allegedly intoxicated. She was given an appearance ticket for Chautauqua Court.

ELLICOTT – Heather D. Mundt, 23, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speed in zone. On Saturday, at 2:53 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Fairmount Avenue in Ellicott that was allegedly speeding. The driver – Mundt – was allegedly intoxicated and had a suspended driver’s license. She was given an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court.

CHAUTAUQUA – Chad F. Johnson, 35, of Stockton was charged with DWI, DWI per se and speed in zone. On Saturday, at 12:32 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Lakeview Avenue for allegedly speeding. The driver – Johnson – was allegedly intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Chautauqua Court.

ELLINGTON – Virgil P. Moss, 55, of Ellington was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. On Friday, at 12:20 p.m., deputies responded to an incident on West Main Street in Ellington. It is alleged that Moss struck an individual in the head with a closed fist, causing the victim’s glasses to break. Moss was given an appearance ticket for Ellington Court.

CELORON – Ramon L. Sanchez, 47, of Jamestown was charged with failure to keep right, DWI and aggravated DWI. On Sept. 2, at 11:35 a.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle on Boulevard Avenue in Celoron for allegedly traveling in the opposite lane of travel. The driver – Sanchez – was allegedly intoxicated with a BAC three times the legal limit. He was given an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court.

A 17-year-old male from Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing. On Friday, at 10:46 a.m., police responded to the area of Maple Street near Allen Street for a report of a person with a weapon. It is alleged that the 17-year-old male pulled a knife on a female who was sitting in her car. The male reportedly stared at the female for a few minutes before walking down the street and being located by police. He was taken to the city jail and scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court. The victim was uninjured.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Casey C. Fitzpatrick of Lakewood was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right and possession of controlled substances by ultimate users original container. On Thursday, at 10:35 p.m., police responded to the area of Big Tree Road and Gleason Road for a motor vehicle accident with personal injury after a motorcycle reportedly left the road and struck a utility pole. The driver – Fitzpatrick – was found walking around the scene with superficial injuries. He was allegedly impaired by drugs. He was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

Anna M. Hohl, 57, of North Tonawanda, was charged with driving while intoxicated and inadequate head lamps. On Saturday, at 9:36 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle on East Summit Avenue for allegedly having inadequate head lights. It is alleged that the driver – Hohl – was intoxicated. She was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER-Timothy H. Sarsfield, 31, of East Aurora was charged with DWI, DWI per se and failure to stop at a stop sign. On Monday, at 9:03 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle allegedly fail to stop at a stop sign in Hanover. It is alleged that the driver-Sarsfield-was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Hanover Court.

ELLERY-Chad T. Robbins, 24, of Bemus Point was charged with DWI, failure to maintain lane, and moving from lane unsafely. On Saturday, at 1:21 a.m., deputies responded to a one-car vehicle accident on Westman Road in Ellery. The driver – Robbins – was allegedly intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Ellery Court.

STOCKTON-James J. Nedwick, 56, of Stockton was charged with felony DWI, DWI per se and failure to keep right. On Friday, at 8:55 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle allegedly make several lane violations in Stockton. The driver – Nedwick – was allegedly intoxicated. A record check revealed that Nedwick had a misdemeanor and a felony conviction for DWI within the previous 10 years. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of bail and given an appearance ticket for Stockton Court.

PORTLAND-Michael Dotson Jr., 41, of Brocton was charged with second-degree harassment. On Monday, at 9:31 p.m., deputies and State Troopers responded to a residence on Route 20 in Portland for a reported disturbance. It is alleged that Dotson physically and verbally harassed a female victim. He was given an appearance ticket for Portland Court.

MAYVILLE-Catherine M. Gatto, 45, of Westfield was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, DWI and DWI per se. On Sunday, at 4:15 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Erie Street and East Chautauqua Street in Mayville. As deputies were arriving, one of the vehicle involved allegedly left the scene of the accident. Deputies pulled over the vehicle on Sea Lion Drive. The driver – Gatto – was allegedly intoxicated. She was given an appearance ticket for Chautauqua Court.

SILVER CREEK-Brandy Doucet, 27, of Silver Creek was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle, failure to signal turn and improper restraint for rear passenger of age 4-7. Matthew Sowers, 39, of Mayville was charged with misdemeanor false impersonation. On Sunday, at 11:59 p.m., deputies pulled over a vehicle in Silver Creek for an alleged traffic violation. The driver-Doucet-allegedly had suspended driving privileges. A passenger-Sowers-allegedly gave deputies a false name and birthdate. Both were given appearance tickets for Silver Creek Court.

SILVER CREEK-Benjamin J. Velk, 32, of Silver Creek was charged with disorderly conduct and fourth-degree criminal mischief. On Sunday, at 12:18 a.m., deputies responded to a complaint of a disorderly, intoxicated person that was destroying property at a Madison Street residence in Silver Creek. It is alleged that Velk was engaged in a dispute with a person at the residence and destroyed a porch railing when he was not allowed to come inside. He was issued a ticket for fourth-degree criminal mischief. At 3:11 a.m., deputies responded to a residence on Front Street in Silver Creek where Velk was allegedly damaging items. He was remanded to the county jail and given an appearance ticket for Portland Court.

STOCKTON-Thairy Melendez-Rosar, 31, of Jamestown was charged with failure to maintain lane, failure to keep right and driving while ability impaired by drugs. On Saturday, at 10:05 a.m., deputies received a report of a possible intoxicated driver in a 2002 Ford Escape traveling north on Route 60 near the four corners in Gerry. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle at that time. At 11:44 a.m., while conducting another traffic stop on Route 60 in Stockton, the original suspected driver almost struck a deputy standing outside his patrol car. The driver then proceeded to travel north on Route 60 where she just missed a bridge abutment, and crossed over into the opposite lane of travel. She finally stopped sideways in the middle of Route 60 in front of an oncoming tractor-trailer. The driver – Melendez-Rosar – was under the influence of drugs and given an appearance ticket for Stockton Court.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Shawn L. Washington, 29, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt. On Wednesday at 1:55 p.m., police responded to 1103 Prendergast Ave. for a reported domestic incident in progress. It is alleged that a verbal argument between a man and a woman occurred at the residence. The man-Washington-allegedly had two valid orders of protection to stay away from children who were present. Officers located Washington hiding behind a chimney in the attic. He was taken to the city jail awaiting arraignment.

Nathan M. King of Jamestown was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt and two counts of second-degree harassment. On Friday at noon, police responded to 428 Winsor St. for a reported harassment in progress. Officers met with a victim who alleged that King was being threatening from across the street. King was also found to have pending charges for another criminal contempt and harassment incident. He was taken to the city jail and is pending arraignment.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

BUSTI – Rebecca S. Greggs, 44, of Randolph was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, speeding, criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance outside its original container. On Aug. 30 at 2:11 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle that was allegedly speeding on Hunt Road in Busti. It is alleged that the driver-Greggs-was intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. She was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

BUSTI – Andrew Creighton, 31, of Lakewood was charged with DWI, DWI per se and speeding. On Aug. 29, at 11:05 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle for allegedly speeding on Hunt Road in Busti. It is alleged that the driver – Creighton – was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

LAKEWOOD – Michael J. Hutley, 34, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. On Aug. 29 at 4:57 p.m., Hutley was apprehended after allegedly stealing $117.04 worth of merchandise from the Lakewood Walmart. He was given an appearance ticket for Busti Court.

LAKEWOOD – Angela M. Brady, 52, of Gerry was charged with petit larceny. On Thursday at 12:28 p.m., Brady was apprehended for allegedly not scanning a comforter valued at $44.88 at the self-checkout lane at the Lakewood Walmart. She will appear in Busti Court on Sept. 15.

LAKEWOOD -?Katrina M. Nolan, 26, of Alden was charged with petit larceny. On Aug. 30, at 3:41 p.m., Nolan was apprehended after allegedly stealing from the Lakewood Walmart. She was given an appearance ticket to Busti Court.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

ELLICOTT – Donald Sharp, 71, of Sinclairville was charged with DWI, DWI per se and speeding. On Aug. 29, at 11:48 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle on Fairmount Avenue for allegedly speeding. It is alleged that the driver-Sharp-was intoxicated. He was given an appearance ticket to Ellicott Court.

CELORON – Samantha J. Colvin, 30, of Celoron was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. On Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m., police located a 3-year-old child wearing only a diaper while running in the middle of West Duquesne Street in Celoron. Police located the mother-Colvin-and gave her an appearance ticket to Ellicott Court. Police also completed a referral to the New York State Child Protective Services.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Christopher S. Bautista, 18, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt. On Thursday, at 11:50 a.m., police pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Baker and Williams streets. It is alleged that a passenger – Bautista – had a valid warrant through Jamestown City Court. It is also alleged that Bautista had a valid order of protection to stay away from the female driver. He was taken to the city jail.

Luz M. Martinez of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. On Sunday, at 11 p.m., police responded to 38 Utica St. for a reported domestic incident. It is alleged that Martinez got angry and threw a cellphone at a victim’s face during an argument. While the victim was outside waiting for police, Martinez allegedly poured some type of oil over multiple pairs of brand new gym shoes. When struck by the phone, the victim reportedly suffered a loose tooth and a bloody mouth. Martinez was taken to the city jail and scheduled to appear in city court.

Ricky Law, 18, of Buffalo was charged with burglary. On Thursday, at 1:32 p.m., police were investigating a burglary on Johnson Street. Further investigation led officers to 100 Hedges St. where a male matching the description of the burglary suspect was located. The male – Law – was allegedly wanted out of Cheektowaga for felony burglary charges and misdemeanor bench warrant out of Buffalo. He was taken to the city jail and later transferred to Cheektowaga.

Charles Monroe, 23, of Jamestown was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent, failure to stop at stop sign, insufficient turn signal, failure to keep right, unlicensed operator, driving while intoxicated, DWI with blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. On Saturday, at 5:07 p.m., police pulled over a vehicle allegedly speeding on Newton Avenue. It is alleged that the driver – Monroe – also failed to use his turn signal properly and failed to stop at a stop sign. Monroe was allegedly intoxicated and had a surrendered New York state driver’s license. He allegedly fought with officers while in the back of a patrol car. He was taken to the city jail and scheduled to appear in city court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Raechel S. Connell, 24, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. On Wednesday, at 6:36 p.m., Connell was charged after allegedly stealing $101.72 worth of merchandise from the Lakewood Wal-Mart. She was scheduled to appear in Busti Court.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

HANOVER – Ivan M. Waller, 51, of Angola was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and refusal to take a breath test. On Aug. 23, at 10:35 p.m., Waller was called to Alleghany Road in Hanover by a relative to drive the relative’s vehicle. The relative had just been charged for DWI by Sheriff’s deputies. Waller allegedly drove his personal vehicle to Alleghany road while intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in Hanover Court.
