Farmers Market Coupons Are Available
The Chautauqua County Office for Aging Services is set to hold its annual Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program coupon distribution event. The program provides a printed booklet of five coupons, worth $4 each, to use at any participating farmers market or farm stand for those 60 years of age or older and make less than $1,986 per month. Adults who meet the income and age criteria are eligible to receive one coupon booklet from one of the SFMNP distribution events. The first is to be held at the Jamestown Public Market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until supplies last. Local Office for Aging Services staff will be on-site at the Public Market to distribute the booklets to eligible participants. Once received, coupons can be used at any participating market or farm stand until Nov. 1. Currently, the following markets and farm stands are participating: Dunkirk Farmer’s Market, Fredonia Farmer’s Market, Jamestown Public Market, Roberto Fred Farm Stand, Abers Acres Farm Stand.
Falconer Board To Hold Meeting
FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will hold a work session at 6:15 p.m. Monday in the Firemen’s Exempt Hall, located at 3 Coleson Drive, Falconer. The regular village board meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the same location.
Sewer District Ad Board To Meed
The administrative board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at noon Tuesday, July 13, at the water pollution control facility.
Carroll Board Set To Meet July 15
FREWSBURG — The Carroll Town Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 15. The board has decided to hold meetings again at the town municipal building at 5 W. Main St.
Health Board Sets Meeting
MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 15, in the HRC Building, B-14, basement level conference room, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. Comments received from the public will be accepted as communications, and not read during privilege of the floor. Public comments at the meetings during the privilege of the floor must be made in person. Anyone not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 must wear a mask and social distance while in the building.
Class Of 1963 To Hold Reunion
A picnic to celebrate the 58th class reunion for the Jamestown High School Class of 1963 will be held Saturday, Aug. 21, at Viking Park on Chautauqua Lake from 3-8 p.m. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. by donation. To help plan on the number of classmates and guests attending, call Jackie Jackson at 354-2106 or email her at jackielj@windstream.net. Reservations are appreciated by Aug. 1.
Photo Club To Meet Today
The next meeting of the Jamestown Audubon Photography Club is today at 6:15 p.m. in the auditorium at Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road. The themes for the meeting are “Creeks and Rivers” and “Red, White and Blue.” Members are encouraged to submit their photos for these themes for inclusion in the monthly slideshow.
A video presentation by Nigel Danson on photographing sunrise and sunset will be shown; these are the themes for the month of August, along with the theme Humor in Nature. Member Cathy Abers-Kimball is hosting the annual photo club picnic at her home in August. The August and September slideshows will be combined for the September meeting.
