LAKEWOOD — The GameStop currently located at 318 E. Fairmount Ave. in the Chautauqua Mall will be newly setting up shop across the street in the Lakewood Village Center at 279 E. Fairmount Ave. next to Michaels craft store.

As the area’s biggest gaming retailer, the store will make its move official Jan. 28. The last day customers will be able to shop at the Chautauqua Mall location will be Jan. 27 from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. Residents with questions can call 763-7415.

This move comes after the closings of Famous Footwear, Sears and Bon-Ton at Chautauqua Mall.

Mall officials referred comment on the upcoming move to GameStop, who so far have declined to discuss relocation.
