City Police Investigating Shooting Incidents
Jamestown police are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday night on East Eighth Street near Fulton Street and another shooting near the 7-11 store on North Main Street.
Officers responded to the area at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday for reports of a shooting that had just taken place. Once on the scene officers found an 18-year-old boy with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The youth was taken to UPMC Chautauqua.
Around 10:10 p.m. officers responded to the 7-11 store on North Main Street for another shooting, though officers found no one was injured in the second incident.
“Through investigation it was determined that both shootings were targeted attacks and that both shootings are connected,” city police said in a news release. “Both incidents are currently under investigation …”
