Fenton History Center To Host Genealogy
Workshop
The Fenton History Center will hold a genealogy workshop at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hall House Research Library, 73 Forest Ave., Jamestown. The topic will be “Research in the Maritime Provinces.” Vince Courtney will be the presenter. He has many years of experience working with records from the Maritime Provinces. The cost is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Payments can be made at the door. For more information, call the Fenton History Center at 716-664-6256.
Free Program To Learn Fly-Tying
Techniques Scheduled
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Country Kids on the Fly have resumed meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays at the Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., Sinclairville. Country Kids on the Fly is a free program for children ages 8 and up to learn fly-tying techniques. All tools and materials will be provided. Parents must accompany youngsters to the first meeting to fill out and sign papers. Adults are welcome too. Final Lecture
Set For Today
The final lecture of the Fenton Lecture series will be held today at 7 p.m. Paul Johnson, a noted local historian will speak on the connection between the steamboats and the grand hotels around Lake Chautauqua. The lecture will be held at the Fenton Mansion in Jamestown.
County Auxiliary Meets On
Thursday
WESTFIELD — The Chautauqua County American Legion Auxiliary’s monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at John W. Rogers Post 327, 7579 E. Main Road. Units are encouraged to begin the new year with a positive awareness and responsibility to have a representative at county meetings.
CCBA Monthly Meeting Set

The Chautauqua County Beekeepers Association will hold its monthly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Ave. Seasonal activities such as harvesting the fall flow, mite control and general fall apiary management will be discussed. Mayville Senior Citizens Meet Saturday
MAYVILLE — The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet for a chicken barbecue on Saturday. The cost is $5. There will be a board meeting after the dinner.
