Northwest Arena To Host Blood Drive May 20

The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 20 at the Northwest Arena, 319 W. Third St., Jamestown. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Classic Car Club To Meet Wednesday

The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday, May 20, at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.

Watts Flats UMC To Host Dinner Wednesday

WATTS FLATS – The Watts Flats United Methodist Church, 866 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Ashville, will be having a chicken and biscuit dinner with desserts from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20. Dinner costs $10. All proceeds benefit the church. The public is welcome to attend.

Reg Lenna To Host U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Brass Band

The U.S. Air Force Heritage of America Brass Band will perform a free, public concert at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts on Thursday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. ahead of the Memorial Day weekend. The band performs orchestral transcriptions, jazz standards and patriotic favorites. The performance is sponsored by Northwest Bank. Tickets and reservations are not required for this performance.
