Sips And Hip Fashion Show Returns To Marvin House
The Marvin House will host its Sips and Hip Fashion Show on Thursday, May 28, at 5:30 p.m. The event includes a fashion show presented by Chautauqua Institution’s GG My Love, along with light refreshments, drinks, door prizes, and a special “Blind Date with a Book” giveaway. The event will also feature a GG My Love pop-up shop offering exclusive bargain prices available only during the fashion show. In addition, all attendees will receive a discount coupon for future shopping. Reservations are required. Admission is $25 per person. Vegetarian Society To Meet May 31 In Westfield
WESTFIELD – The Chautauqua Vegetarian Society will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. May 31 at the Westfield YWCA. Mary Zdrojewski will present on baking with natural sugar alternatives. She will share techniques and tips, recipes, and samples.All samples will be gluten free. The meeting will include a Vegan potluck luncheon. Those attending should bring a vegan dish to share with no meat, fish, eggs or dairy. The cost is $2 for those bringing a dish or $6 without a dish. Call Gail at 716-753-7761 for reservations.
County IDA Board To Meet May 26
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, in the second floor board room in the BWB Building, 201 W. Third St., Jamestown. The public is welcome to attend. The meeting will also be livestreamed on YouTube.
Infinity Hosting Ultimate Adventure Challenge
Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Inc. is hosting its Ultimate Adventure Challenge through Dec. 31. Those who participate can visit a variety of outdoor locations, including local hiking trails, public spaces and outdoor art installations. Participants document their experiences by taking photos at each stop, working toward a goal of completing 24 adventures over the course of the season. The program allows participants to explore at their own pace, whether close to home or while traveling. Participants who complete all 24 locations receive a certificate of completion, along with a commemorative patch and sticker designed by Infinity art instructor Ash Pickering. In addition to encouraging outdoor exploration, the challenge also supports Infinity’s youth programming. City Church Announces New Pastor
The North Main Street Church of God, 1213 N. Main St., Jamestown, will install Gary Manning as its new pastor at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 24. The public is welcome to attend.
