Citizens Meet

At Town Park

ELLERY — Ellery Senior Citizens met on July 14 at Ellery Town Park with 26 members present. Betty Lou Cheney said an opening prayer. All enjoyed a chicken barbecue dinner catered by 3C’s catering. Dinners were delivered to members that were unable to attend. Birthdays for the month of May included Mary Beth Mazzone and Maureen Langebartel. June birthdays included Mary Carpenter and Miriam Price. Monty Hatch was the only birthday in July. Those interested in joining the Ellery Senior Citizen group are asked to contact Maureen Langebartel at 716-499-3482. The next meeting of the Ellery Senior Citizens will be held Oct. 13 at noon at Ellery Town Park. A turkey dinner will be served. Members will be contacted to make reservations for the event.

Dahlgren Family Hosts Reunion

The fourth Dahlgren family reunion, hosted by Ralph Dahlgren and Tammy Roush, was held recently at the Allen Park Men’s Club. About 25 family members, including Mrs. Busti, Joyce Dahlgren, enjoyed a potluck dinner. Lydia and Juliet Voorhis assisted with the Chinese auction and Phil Roche took family portraits.

Library Story Hour Program Begins In

September

FALCONER — The Falconer Public Library’s story hour program begins in September. Join Ashley Nelson for engaging stories, songs, activities and crafts. Classes are held Wednesday mornings beginning Sept. 13 and ending in May. The 3-year-old class meets from 9-10 a.m. and the 4-year-old class meets from 10:30-11:30 a.m. To register a child, visit the library at 101 W. Main St., Falconer, or call 716-665-3504.

Photography Exhibit

LAKEWOOD — Lakewood Memorial Library, 12 W. Summit St., Lakewood, welcomed a new photography exhibit presented by the Chautauqua County Camera Club. The group is composed of local photographers with different interests and levels of experience. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, to meet the photographers and learn about their work. The exhibit will be on view throughout the month of September.

Forestville To Host Fall Festival

FORESTVILLE — Forestville’s Fall Festival will be held Oct. 7 and 8 at Forestville High School. There will be a craft show, food vendors and produce both days. The Catholic Church will hold a pork dinner on Oct. 7 at 11 Center St. The Forestville Fire Department will host a chicken barbecue on Sunday from noon until sold out at the fire hall on Chestnut Street.
