Asheville UMC To Host Mobile Pantry Truck Tuesday

ASHVILLE – The Food Bank of WNY Mobile Pantry Truck will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 28. To receive free food, proof of address showing the recipient lives at one of the following zip codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Greenhurst 14742, Lakewood 14750, Maple Springs 14756, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and the town of Busti. Those receiving food must also fill out a TEFAP Form. Those attending are asked to bring their own bags or boxes.

To Host Lunch And Learns

Cornell Cooperative Extension Chautauqua will host several Lunch and Learn webinars in May. Webinars will take place every Monday throughout May and will run via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. Throughout May those participating will learn about the process of the plant, from starting seeds and planning a garden, to harvesting the tomato from its vine and ways to use produce. Sessions will also dig into creating compost and different methods to produce soil at home. Sessions include Seed Starting and Garden Planning on May 4, Composting Curiosities on May 11, Growing in Small Spaces on May 18 and Tomato Talk- Varieties and Vines on May 25.
