Village Board Meeting Moved
LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Village Board meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday has been moved from the Lakewood Village Hall, 20 W. Summit St., to the Busti Town Building, 125 Chautauqua Ave. A public hearing will be held at 6:45 p.m. on a local law regarding short term rentals.
Bemus Point BOE To Meet
BEMUS POINT — Members of the Bemus Point School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Middle-High School on Dutch Hollow Road. An executive session will take place at 5:30 p.m.
Car Seat Check Is Today
A free car seat safety check by certified technicians will be held today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Taylor Training Grounds, 240 Harrison St., Jamestown. The event is hosted by Ardent Solutions, Jamestown Fire Department, Jamestown Police Department and the Chautauqua Safety Village. It is funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration with a grant from the state Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee.
Falconer Village Board To Meet
FALCONER — The Falconer Village Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the fire exempts hall, 2 Coleson Dr., Falconer. All village board meetings will now begin at 6 pm.
Public Hearing Set Tuesday
Jamestown Public Schools will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2022-23 budget and school board elections at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Jamestown High School auditorium. The public is welcome to attend. The community can also access the budget book at jpsny.org/budget, the Prendergast Library or at 197 Martin Road during regular business hours. There will be two candidates on the ballot for the school board election May 17. There are two open seats, each for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2022. The candidates are Patrick Slagle and Joseph Pawelski. For more information on the candidates, visit jpsny.org/budget. The budget vote and board of education election will be held on Tuesday, May 17, from noon to 9 p.m. at Lincoln Elementary School, Jefferson Middle School and Washington Middle School. Village To Host Yard Sale In June
FALCONER — The Falconer Rotary Club will again be sponsoring the annual village of Falconer yard sales on June 3-4. To be included on the map, there is a fee of $5, and registration will be held at the Falconer Vac Shack. The deadline to register is May 25.
