Bemus Point School Board To Meet Today
BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 11,in the cafeteria at Maple Grove High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. This will be immediately followed by an executive session. The public is welcome.
Historian To Speak Monday
BUSTI – Local historian Pamela K. Brown will be the featured author on Monday, May 11, at the Hazeltine Public Library. Brown has written “A Legacy of Labor”, the story of the Conservation Corp Camp in Chautauqua County. “This is a unique look into the depression era and the role Chautauqua County had with the Civilian Conservation Corps. You will hear some familiar names and places that were involved in this nationwide CCC project” said Katie Smith, library director. “This is a free program and I’d encourage everyone to come and learn more about our county’s history.” The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to everyone. The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road. There is off-street parking and the library is handicapped-accessible. For more information call the library at 716-487-1281. SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School board budget hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in the Cassadaga Valley Middle/High School Multi-Purpose Room. The public is welcome to attend.
BPU Announes Temporary Customer Service Office Schedule Change
The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities announces temporary schedule changes for its Customer Service Office beginning the week of May 11. The BPU Customer Service Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday during the temporary schedule change. The office is closed daily from 1 to 2 p.m. Customers are encouraged to use the BPU’s convenient online and phone payment options. Payments may be made online at www.jamestownnybpu.gov or by phone at 716-661-1660, option 3, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. A payment drop box is also available next to the Customer Service Office for check and money order payments only. Two other drop boxes are located at Tracy Plaza at City Hall and in the Jamestown Police Department vestibule on East Second Street. The BPU also encourages customers to sign up for the online customer portal, which allows users to monitor utility consumption, view bills, make payments, complete forms and manage account information. Customers only need their BPU account number to register. There are no additional fees when paying online or by phone. The BPU Customer Service Office is located at 92 Steele Street, Jamestown.
