Prendergast Library To Host Kumihimo
Bracelet Beading Workshop
Today, May 6, at 5:30 p.m., the Prendergast Library will be offering Meet & Make: Kumihimo. Those attending will learn how to use a traditional Japanese form of braiding, using a handheld, portable foam disc (marudai) to braid embroidery thread in various patterns like round or spiral shapes. On Saturday, May 23, at 1:30 p.m., the Prendergast Library will be offering Meet & Make: Beaded Bracelet. Those attending will learn how to create beaded bracelets from various shaped and sized beads. There is no cost to attend these programs, which will be held in the library’s front lobby. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.

Professional To Host Coffee Makeup

LILY DALE – The CHQ Professionals Group will host third coffee meetup of the season from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7, at Sacred Grounds Coffee House, 6 Cleveland Ave, Lily Dale. This event is part of an ongoing series of networking opportunities designed to bring local professionals together to share their work and build meaningful connections. Throughout the year, CHQ Professionals will host meetups at businesses across the county, including Fredonia, Cassadaga, Lily Dale, Bemus Point, Westfield, and Mayville.
Sewer Board To Gather Thursday
The South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts Administrative Board will meet at noon Thursday, May 7, at the North Harmony administration building conference room, 5350 Stow Road, Ashville. The public is welcome to attend.

Canteen Set For Saturday
The next Fenton Canteen will be held at the Fenton Mansion/Museum, 67 Washington St, Jamestown, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 9. Veterans of all ages and service dogs are welcome to join for coffee, cookies and camaraderie.
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop Open
Saturday During Farmers’ Market
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop. 409 Pine St., Jamestown, will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the Farmer’s Market. The shop is well stocked with spring clothing and a large selection of small housewares. There is a very large selection of very high and plus sized ladies clothing. Regular shopping hours are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds are used for outreach in the local community.
Magic Of Motown Concert At Reg Lenna Canceled
The Magic of Motown concert scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts has been canceled by the promoter and renter for the event.
