Randolph School To Host Budget Hearing May 12

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will hold a public budget hearing followed by a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 6 p.m. in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend.

Red Cross Blood Drive Is May 15 At The Resource Center

CELORON – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 at The Resource Center, 200 Dunham Ave., Celoron. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Gardeners Plant Sale Is May

16 At JCC

The Chautauqua County Master Gardeners will host its annual native plant sale at Jamestown Community College from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 in the college’s science center. The Master Gardeners will be selling perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs and books. The Master Gardeners will also offer free soil pH testing all day. Those who want a test done should drop off their soil sample in a small plastic baggie clearly labeled with the person’s name and testing will be done while the person shops. Money raised from the plant sale goes back into supporting the local Master Gardener organization and outreach efforts. Panama Community Cleanup Is May 16

PANAMA – A community cleanup day in the village of Panama is scheduled for May 16 at 9 a.m. with a rain date of May 23. Volunteers will gather in the Panama Methodist church parking lot and set out on foot and by car to get out into the community to clean up streets and surrounding roads in the Panama community. Work gloves, garbage bags, and reflective vests will be provided. Boots and comfortable clothing are suggested as the group will get off the shoulders of the road and into ditches, fields, and culverts. Light refreshments, water, coffee, and hot chocolate will be provided in the church cafe. All are welcome to participate. For more information contact George Anderson at 716-782-3252.
