Community House Take-Out Meals Thurs. Dec. 9

The Marvin Community House in Jamestown is offering take-out meals available for pick up between 3-4 p.m. Thursday that will include tossed salad, homemade dinner roll, sweet and sour meatloaf, mashed potatoes, honey glazed carrots and yellow cake with chocolate fudge frosting. Reservations can be made by sending an email to marvinhouse@netsync.net or calling 488-6206. Meals will be placed in the vehicle’s trunk upon arrival.

Cheri Rowland Named Executive Director By Soup Kitchen Board Of Directors

The St. Susan Center Soup Kitchen Board of Directors has named Cherie Rowland as executive director, effective immediately. The community is invited to an open house welcoming Rowland on Wednesday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at St Susan Center Soup Kitchen, 31 Water St., Jamestown. Masks are required.

Blood Drive Fri. Dec. 10

WESTFIELD — Community Blood Bank is holding a blood drive from noon-4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at Westfield Memorial Hospital. “Our goal is to make sure there is always blood available when someone is in need,” said Erin Tighe, community relations specialist. “You may not know who gets your blood but know that each donation gives someone more time to spend with loved ones.” To schedule an appointment, call 716-450-0376. Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait time, but not required. Walk-ins will be taken as space allow.

Rodeo Senior Citizens

Gathering Fri. Dec. 10

GERRY — The Rodeo City Senior Citizens will gather Friday at noon in the Gerry United Methodist Church for its luncheon and program. The ham and turkey will be provided so those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to add to the meal and their own table setting. Those attending are asked to bring a table decoration for their table. The program will be Pat Cook with the tribute by singing Patsy Cline songs.
