Audubon Community Nature Center has many volunteer needs this spring, from mailing newsletters to helping with the numerous activities at the Dragons and Fairies Festival, Saturday, June 15 – like horse-drawn carriage rides, scavenger hunts, live music, great food, the photo op pictured here and so much more.
The Audubon Community Nature Center is putting out a call for more volunteer help during this particularly busy time of year.
Among the areas where volunteers are specifically needed are:
– Maintenance Volunteers are needed every Tuesday and Thursday to help maintain the building and grounds. Whether you can paint, drive a tractor, dig holes, or help maintain the trails, you are needed.
– June 15 Dragons and Fairies Festival requires a total of 70 volunteers to park cars, take admissions, help children and families make crafts, navigate the obstacle course and take a carriage ride, and more.
– June 17 Mailing Committee Volunteers put together the July/August Newsletter.
– Education Volunteers – those who have a love for the outdoors and sharing their knowledge with others – are needed for Discovery Walks, education programs, and outreach. Experience with the Nature Center is preferred, but not necessary.
