Trick-Or-Treat Hours Will Be Observed

MAYVILLE — Trick-or-treating hours in Mayville will be observed Saturday, Oct. 30, from 5-7 p.m.

Valley Historical Society Meeting Tues. Nov. 2

SINCLAIRVILLE — The November meeting of the Valley Historical Society will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. in the lower room of the Sinclairville Fire Hall. Voting will be taking place in the upper dining room, so enter through the front door of the lower room so the voters will not be disturbed. The program will be presented by personal historian Pat Pihl. Along with Pihl, Sharon Howe Sweeting, Cherry Creek historian, will be assisting. The program is adult show and tell. Pihl and Sweeting will bring several historical items to “show and tell” and everyone in attendance is invited to bring a historical item to show and tell themselves. Anyone interested in local history is invited to attend.

Election Night Dinner Tuesday Nov. 2

ELLINGTON — The Ellington Farman Library will hold an Election Night dinner on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out at the library, 760 Thornton Road, Ellington. Dinners will be take-out only and will feature turkey and gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and dessert. The cost of the dinner is $12 for adults and children under 12 years of age $6. All proceeds benefit the operating fund at the library.

Annual Spaghetti Dinner To Honor Veterans

CASSADAGA — The Cub and Boy Scouts from P-219 and T-219 in Cassadaga will be holding its annual spaghetti dinner to honor veterans on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 3-6 p.m. This year the dinner will be take-out only as a drive-through at 228 Maple Ave. at the Cassadaga Memorial Legion Post No. 1280. Tickets are available at the legion, from a scout or at the event. Veterans’ dinners are free.
