JPS Board To Hold Meeting

A reorganizational meeting of the Jamestown City School Board will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday in the board room of the administration building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown and via teleconference from Sunset Beach, N.C.

Bridge To Close In Busti July 6

County Bridge 151 on Southwestern Drive in the town of Busti, between Baker Street and Sunset Drive, will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday, July 6. The closure is for replacement of the culvert, and a detour will be posted. The closure will remain in effect until the culvert replacement is complete and the barricades and signs are removed.

Thrift Shop To Hold Sale

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, announces a summer half-off sale of ladies pants and dresses, men’s pants, and all children’s clothing.The shop is also well stocked with household items. The shop is open for sales Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; receiving only Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon. Watch for the upcoming Christmas in July sale. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street.

Tech Committee Cancels Meeting

A meeting of the Technical Committee of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts that had been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, has been canceled.

Summer Market Set For July 3

The Pet Pantry is hosting an indoor Summer Market on Saturday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Floral Hall at the Chautauqua County Fairgrounds. Admission is $1 per adult.

Library To Hold Book Sale

MAYVILLE — The Mayville Library will be holding its annual summer book sale from July 2 through July 10 during normal library hours. Books for adults and children, DVDs and magazines will be available for purchase. Call the library for additional information at 753-7362.

School Board To Hold Meeting

BEMUS POINT — The Bemus Point Central School Board will hold a reorganizational meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, in the Maple Grove Middle-High School. A regular school board meeting will follow.

Gazebo Concert Set For Wed.

SOUTH DAYTON — The village of South Dayton will host a concert by Paul Zittle and Pure Country from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the South Dayton Gazebo on the Village Green. Refreshments and crafts will be available. Those attending should bring their own lawn chairs. Then, on Saturday, the farmers’ market will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Village Green.

Historical Society Sets Open House

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Historical Society will be open on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Masks are required for visitors not fully vaccinated. The regular monthly meeting will follow.

The society is located at 2702 Route 20 at the corner of Center Road. All are welcome.
