Tree Of Life Food Cupboard Is Open

The Tree of Life Food Cupboard at 825 Forest Ave. continues to be open every Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The pantry is closed on all holidays. Those visiting are asked to wear a mask.

NARFE To Meet At Olive Garden

LAKEWOOD — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association Chapter 267 will meet Friday at 11:15 a.m. at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Lakewood. It has been a year since the group was able to physically meet, so the meeting will give members a chance to see each other and to catch up on NARFE news. All members are invited. Those attending should be prepared to wear a mask to enter the restaurant.

JCA Concert At St. Luke’s Friday

The Jamestown Concert Association presents pianist Fabio Menchetti live at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 410 N. Main St., Jamestown, on Friday at 7:30 p.m. This will be the final presentation of the concert association, which originated in 1935 and was incorporated in 1958. Menchetti will perform sonatas by Scarlatti, Beethoven, and Chopin — about one hour with no intermission. The nave of St. Luke’s safely accommodates 150 socially-distanced people. There is no admittance fee, but 2019-20 JCA members will be given priority seating and board members will usher those attending to their seat. The area will have been sanitized, windows will remain open and face masks are required.

BPU To Meet In-Person In May

The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will meet at 4 p.m. Monday in the board room of the operations center building, second floor, 92 Steele St., Jamestown. Due to New York state guidelines, members of the public who want to attend the meeting must email sllake@jamestownbpu.com or call 661-1685 to reserve a space prior to 10 a.m. Monday. As New York state guidelines continue to change, the BPU will follow all rules and put proper protections in place. Members of the public who register to attend the meeting will be required to complete a screening form prior to being admitted to the meeting.

City Hall Ladies To Meet June 2

The retired City Hall ladies will hold their annual meeting luncheon at the Olive Garden in Lakewood at 11:30 a.m. June 2. Any lady who has retired from Jamestown City Hall, including those from other city buildings such as the Parks and Recreation Department or BPU are invited. If interested in attending the luncheon, call Elaine Forbes at 499-1415.

Maple Grove Musical Sunday

The Maple Grove Senior High Musical Cast will perform showstoppers from 17 musicals at 1 and 6 p.m. Sunday in the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater. The show will feature songs from classic musicals as Guys and Dolls, 42nd Street, Annie, Hamilton, Waitress and Dear Evan Hansen. Two hundred seats will be available for each performance and tickets will only be sold pre-sale by emailing jcostantini@bemusptcsd.org Tickets are $8 each. Seats will be grouped in pods of two, four, or six, and pods will be spaced six feet apart. Temperature checks will be completed at the gates and masks will be required.
