BPU To Deliver New Garbage Containers

New garbage containers from the BPU’s new Assigned Garbage Container Program are on display in the lobby of City Hall. Residents are encouraged to come see the containers. The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities will begin delivering the 95-gallon garbage containers to residential customers May 10. More than 14,000 containers have been ordered and will take about four weeks to distribute. Customers may begin using the containers as soon as they receive them, but the program will formally begin on July 1. If residents have questions, they can call either the BPU Customer Service Line at 661-1660 or the BPU Garbage Hotline at 661-1651.
