Holiday Plant Sale To Support Fund For Women
From Nov. 1-11, the Allegany-Cattaraugus-Chautauqua Fund for Women will be selling holiday plants (poinsettia, cyclamen, and Christmas cactus), with all proceeds to benefit the Fund for Women. Holiday plants may be ordered online or through the mail; order forms can be at www.accffw.org/fundraisers-events. All plants come in six-inch covered pots and will be available for local pick-up, in the Alfred/Wellsville/Olean areas on Dec. 3. Those who live outside the Alfred/Wellsville/Olean areas, email email@example.com to make arrangements for distribution. All who purchase will receive an email with their designated, local pick-up location. New this year is the option to purchase plants that will be donated to local care facilities. Care facilities can be designated as recipients of plants during the online order process or by contacting the Fund For Women directly.
School Board To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, following a public hearing regarding the district wide safety plan to begin at 5:45 p.m., in the board room of the Administration Building, 197 Martin Road, Jamestown. Due to New York state guidelines of gatherings not to exceed 50 people, those who want to attend the meeting in person are asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 483-4420 to reserve a space prior to Tuesday at 10 a.m. This will ensure we don’t exceed New York state guidelines. A COVID-19 screening form will have to be completed and masks will have to be worn until seated.
