Celoron boat launch closed

Dunham Avenue between Boulevard Avenue and Chautauqua Lake and the parking lot in Lucille Ball Memorial Park are closed for reconstruction. As a result, the Celoron boat launch is closed until further notice.

Cemetery decorations to be removed

CATTARAUGUS — As per Liberty Park Cemetery rules and regulations, all decorations are to be removed prior to Oct. 1. The cemetery is located at 104 South St., Cattaraugus.

SWCS Board meeting set

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. today in the high school multipurpose room. Anyone who wants to attend must email mdonahue@swcsk12.org by 6 p.m.

County Parks Commission to meet

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will meet via Zoom at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The meeting will be streamed live on the Chautauqua County government Facebook page.

Thule Lodge to meet

FALCONER — The Thule Lodge will hold a meeting with refreshments on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer. Social distancing will be observed and masks are required. Members are encouraged to attend.

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop open for sales

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and East Fifth streets in Jamestown, has a large selection of fall clothing and housewares including very good quality 3X men’s clothing and quilts. Ladies light weight jackets and blazers are 50% off. Off-street parking is available in the church lot off East Fifth Street. At this time enter on Pine Street and exit to the parking lot. Face coverings are required, hand sanitizing will be available, social distancing will be viewed and contact tracing signing will be provided. The shop is open for sales and receiving Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; receiving only Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon. Proceeds benefit the local community.

Tickets for BBQ available

The Masons of Forest Lodge 166 are holding a chicken barbecue to help offset building and charity expenses that have been lacking due to the inability to hold its monthly family breakfast. The barbecue will be on Sunday, Sept. 27, from noon until sold out (300 chickens ordered). The barbecue will be drive-through only at the lodge, 321 East Main St., Route 20, Fredonia. Tickets may be purchased through members, or by calling 672-9464. Tickets are $12 presale, and $13 at the door until sold out.
