Library Open At Partial Capacity

Beginning Monday, the Fluvanna Free Library will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is now opening the building to a limited capacity of 50% or 10 individuals. The library’s community room will be open to groups of individuals and students but space is limited and must be reserved in advance. Table space can be reserved for one hour per day. Three public access computers will be open to patrons with a one-hour maximum time limit. Patrons must supply their own headphones or earbuds. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the library is requiring all patrons, including students and groups, wear masks and gloves while in the building. County Bridge 68 To Be Closed To Traffic Wed.

County Bridge 68 on Hartfield-Stockton Road, Route 310, in Stockton between Meadows Road and Coes Road will be closed to all traffic effective 8 a.m. Wednesday for a culvert rehabilitation project. A detour will be posted. The closure shall remain in effect until said culvert repairs are completed and the barricades and signs are removed.

‘Prayer For The Nation’ Call To Prayer Set Sat.

“Prayer for the Nation” will be the focus of an area-wide call to prayer at the Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Ave., on Saturday, Sept. 26 at noon. The event is in conjunction with the 2020 Prayer March led by Franklin Graham starting at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, proceeding to the Washington Monument and ending at the US Capitol.

Benefit To Be Held Oct. 24

CELORON — A benefit for Ivy Kinley will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2-6 p.m. at the Greek Club, 113 Jackson Ave., Celoron. Tickets are $10 and include dinner and a drink. Meals will consist of manicotti and barbecue chicken with salad and desserts. All proceeds will go to help with medical bills and current medical needs.
