Gerry VFD To Offer Dinners

GERRY — The Gerry Volunteer Fire Department will be offering its traditional beef barbecue dinners with a drive-through event Saturday and Sunday at the rodeo grounds. Dinners will be served from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday and noon-3 p.m. or until sold out on Sunday. Those attending are asked to remain in their vehicles, and the dinners will be delivered. Payment is by cash or credit card only. The cost is $15 with all proceeds going to the fire department.

County Health Board To Meet On Aug. 20

The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20. The meeting can be viewed at facebook.com/myhealthycounty/. Breast Cancer Support Sets Aug. 12 Meeting

CELORON — The Breast Cancer Support Group of Jamestown will be meeting Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Celoron American Legion on Jackson Avenue. Masks must be worn coming in and then members are asked to keep a safe distance. Food is available. New members and guests are welcome.

Pierce/Landis, Blodgett Family Reunion Set

STOCKTON — The 146th Blodgett and 133rd Pierce/Landas family reunion will be held Saturday at noon at the Chautauqua County Firemen’s Picnic Grounds, 4641 Railroad Ave., Stockton. Those attending should bring their own bag lunch and beverage, mask and maybe gloves. Also bring any information about personal genealogy as well as recent births, marriages and deaths to compare and add to/change, what the family has in the family genealogy. Be prepared to discuss what we want to do for the 150th Blodgett reunion in 2024. Bring addresses and e-mail addresses for everyone in the family 18 years old and above. In the chance that family members won’t attend, send a letter with the family’s genealogical information as well as recent births, marriages, deaths, to Douglas Nelson, 956 Forest Ave., Jamestown, NY 14701 or email to dnelson19@stny.rr.com.

PVCS Board To Meet Aug. 13

SOUTH DAYTON — The Pine Valley Central School Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, in the Board Room (Room 11) in the Elementary School. The public is welcome to attend. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.

FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Central School Board will meet in-person on Thursday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 in the high school library.
