Is Postponed

The Dow Street Annexation public hearing scheduled for Wednesday was postponed due to inclement weather to Monday, Dec. 30. The time and location of the meeting will be announced at a later date.

Coldspring Board Holds Hearing

COLDSPRING — The Coldspring Town Board met Dec. 5 for its regular meeting and public hearing. The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Tina Hyde. Members present were Wendell Craig Anderson, Kenneth Dechow and David Chapman. Also present was Ronald Brooks, highway superintendent. Minutes were read from the Nov. 7 meeting by the town clerk and approved as read by Hyde. Kathleen Fitzgerald Foster was reappointed to the Board of Assessment Review. Her term is from October 2019 to September 2024.

Blood Drive Set For Monday

Community Blood Bank is holding a blood drive Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the auditorium at UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Ave., Jamestown. Appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome. The blood bank is in a critical blood shortage and is in urgent need of all blood types, especially Type O blood donors. “What is a better present to give this year than donating the life-saving unit of blood to a patient in need,” said Jaclyn Seymour, community relations specialist for the Community Blood Bank. “We know it’s a busy time of year, but as you get ready to gather with your loved ones, think of those who need your help in order to do the same. By donating blood, you could be giving a family one more holiday with their loved one.”

Infinity To Hold Holiday Show

Infinity Performing and Visual Arts will host a holiday celebration at the Infinity Arts Cafe at 7 p.m. Friday featuring live musical performances for the holidays by current Infinity students, alumni and instructors. The Infinity Arts Cafe performance entrance is located at 300 E. Third St., through the doors to the former post office near the blue neon guitar.

Library To Hold Jam Sessions

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., invites the public to participate in musical jam sessions on Thursday, Jan. 2, from 5-7 p.m; Thursday, Jan. 16, from 2-4 p.m.; and Thursday, Feb. 20, from 2-4 p.m. An open mic night will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 5-7 p.m. This is an opportunity for writers, musicians and other performers to showcase their talents and try out new material. Audience members are also welcome. These programs are free and open to all ages.

GOP Committee To Hold Caucus

The Westfield Republican Committee will be holding a caucus on Wednesday, Jan. 22, beginning at 7 p.m. to nominate candidates for the March 18 village of Westfield election. Nominations will be accepted at the caucus for the public offices of Westfield trustee for a two-year term. Those interested must be a village resident to serve on the board. The public is invited to attend the Republican caucus. However, per New York state election law, only village residents who are registered Republicans can nominate and vote for candidates. The caucus will be held in the North Room of Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield.
