Mobile Pantry To Visit Ashville

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Buffalo will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3-5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Marvin House To Host Bus Trip

The Marvin Community House is sponsoring a bus trip through Amish countryside to Lancaster, Pa., Oct. 3 and 4. The highlight of the trip will be a ticket for “Sight and Sound Theater,” where attendees will see “Jesus,” a musical stage production about the most famous person to walk the earth. The trip cost is $269 per person and includes a night lodging at Tru by Hilton (double occupancy), a dinner buffet at Shady Maple Complex, the performance at Sight and Sound Theater, a breakfast, an afternoon visit to Kitchen Kettle Village, a souvenir gift, taxes and gratuities and transportation on a comfortable motor coach.

Village To Hold Labor Day Fest

CASSADAGA — The village will be hosting its annual Labor Day Festival on Sunday and Monday. Events begin on Sunday with the Farmers Market at Ames Common from 12:30-3:30 p.m. A boat parade follows at 4 p.m. at the DEC launch with Mardi Gras as the theme this year. The parade will travel to Cassadaga Beach to the floating stage. A free concert featuring Dos, a two-man band, will play classic rock and oldies from 5-7 p.m. On Monday, there will be a craft and vendor show at Ames Common from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A grand parade will be held at 11 a.m., with a Ducky Derby at noon at the bridge on Maple Avenue. At 1:30 p.m., a walk/run/bike dice roll will be held. Registration is at 1 p.m., and the cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 16. The festival is sponsored by the Citizens for a Better Cassadaga, Cassadaga Lakes Association and the Village of Cassadaga. For more info, call 665-8855.

Church To Host Rummage Sale

RANDOLPH — The East Randolph United Methodist Church, 122 Church St., Randolph, will host a rummage and bake sale Friday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon. All proceeds will go toward church missions.

State To Offer Trapper Course

FALCONER — A state Trapper Training Course will be held from 5:30-10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at the Falconer Rod & Gun Club, Rod and Gun Club Road, Falconer. There will be special instructions for all students. Homework must be completed before class. Students should let the instructor know if they are unable to access the homework and manual online. Those attending should bring a pen and lunch. There will be time spent outside, so students should dress appropriately. There is no cost to attend. Students must attend both nights.
