Fenton Offering Research Hours

The Fenton History Center is offering evening research hours at the Hall House from 4 to 8 p.m. Mondays. The public is welcome to visit. There is no charge for members of the support group and Fenton History Center members. The cost is $10 for the general public unless one is signing up as a member. Evening hours are planned until the end of October.

Food Pantry Open Tuesday

KENNEDY — The Kennedy First United Methodist Church Food Pantry and Children’s Clothing Closet, serving Falconer School District residents, is open Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The pantry strives to provide each family with two or three days of food, but is limited to type depending on the food donations that have been received. The pantry is stocked through individual and group food and monetary donations. The clothing closet provides children’s clothing birth through teen sizes. For more information, call the church office at 267-2645. The church is located at the corner of Church and Second streets, Kennedy, across from the Kennedy Town Hall and Kennedy Post Office. The church is handicapped-accessible through the lower side door.

Historical Society Discussion Set

The Holland Land Company will be discussed at Harmony Historical Society’s meeting Tuesday. Lawyer and historian Neil Robinson has developed a unique history of the Holland Land Company and will present an interesting program on how this Dutch company helped shape the history of the local area. Virtually all of today’s property deeds in Chautauqua County can be traced back to having been originally part of the Holland Land Purchase. The dinner begins at 6 p.m. Bring a dish to pass and table service. The program starts at 7 p.m. All programs are open to the public.

Panama School Board To Meet

PANAMA — The Panama Central School Board will hold a reorganizational meeting Monday at 7 p.m. in the board room. The public is welcome to attend.

July Begins New Quilting Year

WESTFIELD — July begins a new quilting year, a time for sharing ideas, patterns, and all things pertaining to the love of quilting. The Westfield Quilters’ Guild will at the Westfield YWCA on Thursday. Social time is at 6 p.m. with the monthly meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m. Cheryl Burgess will discuss her recent retreat in Kansas, sharing new techniques and quilts.

Adult Happy Hour Set Wednesday

The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will host its next ‘Art After 5’ adult happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. Guests can hear live music on RTPI’s patio, have appetizers, beer or wine, and see the institute’s summer exhibition, “Ned Smith: The Man and the Illustrator.” The cost is a $10 donation. Bemus Class Of 1959 to Meet
