JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Steven W. Walsh, 50, of Jamestown was charged with prohibited burning at 5:52 a.m. Sunday in the woods behind 86 Steele St. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a fire in the woods and allegedly found a man concealing himself in the woods and screaming erratically. Police made contact with the man, who they say began swinging large tree branches wildly and didn’t respond to officers’ commands. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — SILVER CREEK -- At 6:18 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a residence on Main Street for a report of a neighbor dispute. After a brief investigation it was determined that Amber L. Devore, 28, of Silver Creek did harass another individual by threatening to subject them to physical contact. Schurman, 60, of Lakewood was charged with driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely following a staff stop Thursday at 10 p.m. on Elmcrest Avenue in the village. CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – Benjamin Sebdza, 38, of 3 Seymour St., of Jamestown, was charged on March 30 with third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of felony driving while intoxicated, and multiple traffic infractions. According to deputies, Sebzda was traveling on Route 242/Windmill Road in the town of Napoli when deputies pursued his vehicle. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joshua L. Reynolds, 30, of Jamestown was charged with uninspected motor vehicle and being a fugitive from justice after a traffic stop at 3:51 p.m. Monday on Baker Street near Colfax Street. According to a police report, officers pulled a vehicle over and identified Reynolds, who allegedly had a warrant from Warren City Court in Pennsylvania for possession of a controlled substance. Reynolds was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.
