Sherman Church To Hold Barbecue
SHERMAN — The Sherman Community Church will hold a chicken barbecue at 4 p.m. Saturday, lasting until the food is gone. The barbecue will be held regardless of weather. Adult tickets are $9 and children’s tickets are $6. Dinner includes macaroni salad, baked beans, roll and assorted pies.
Frewsburg Vets To Meet Tuesday
FREWSBURG — The Frewsburg Vietnam Veterans of America David L. Woodburn Chapter 978, will meet Tuesday at Frewsburg Central High School at 7 p.m. County Executive George M. Borrello will be speaking on new legislation that will impact veteran’s benefits. All veterans and their spouses are invited to attend.

Parenting Classes Begin Wednesday
CASAC will present parenting classes Wednesdays June 6, 13, 20, 27 and July 11, 18 from noon-2 p.m. at the Mental Health Association, 31 Water St., door 14, suite 7, Gateway Center, Jamestown. ELLINGTON — The Ellington Quilters and Crafters will meet Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ellington Farman Library. All adults are invited to come, work on their project or visit. The group meets the first and third Mondays of the month. There are plenty of electrical outlets in the community room for irons, sewing machines, glue guns or any other item that needs electric. The library is located in the former Lock, Stock, and Barrel on the Town Square in Ellington, 760 Thorton Road. The library is handicapped-accessible.
