Fundraisers For Ellington Town Picnic, Library

On Saturday

ELLINGTON – A breakfast and basket giveaway fundraiser will be held Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Ellington Fire Hall. Breakfast tickets are available at the door for $8 adults, $5 ages 5-12 and under 5 are free. The breakfast benefits the Ellington Town Picnic Committee. While at the breakfast those attending can purchase tickets to take a chance on a variety of baskets while supporting the Ellington Farman Library. There are other activities throughout the day at the Ellington Fire Department open house including a recruitment information drive. Maps designating activities are available at the fire hall, 769 E Main St, Ellington.

Bemus Point School Board To Meet Monday

The Bemus Point Central School Board of Education will meet Monday in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Jr/Sr High School, Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. It’s possible the board will move to enter executive session at 5:30 p.m. with the regular meeting starting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Jamestown Local Development Corp. To Meet Wednesday

The Jamestown Local Development Corporation will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the mayor’s fourth floor conference room at Jamestown’s City Hall. Items on the agenda include three proposals through the ARPA-funded Workforce Development program and an ARPA Business Incubator funding proposal for the Prendergast Landing project in the former Joyce’s Keg Room building at 106 Fairmount Ave. The public is welcome to attend.

Hospice To

Host Workshop April 16

Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care will hold a free advanced care planning workshop from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at its office locations at 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, and 3780 Eagle St., Fredonia. No appointment is necessary. This workshop is an opportunity for community members to learn about advance care planning and complete important documents. The workshops will include a one-on-one conversation with a registered nurse, social worker, or physician; an opportunity to complete advanced care directives, including health care proxy and MOLST forms; and light refreshments. MAYVILLE – Members of the Chautauqua Lake Central School Board of Education will hold a board meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the secondary library at CLCS. The meeting was previously scheduled for Wednesday, April 17. The public is welcome to attend.
