JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Vincent A. Jones, 58, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police stopped a vehicle at 1:58 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Barrett Avenue for traffic infractions. An investigation found that Jones was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine in addition to a digital scale. Dunkirk Man Charged In Assault On Hospital Worker Armando Z. Hernandez-Tirado, 23, has been charged with second-degree assault after striking and biting an employee at a Jamestown hospital. Jamestown Police report they were called to UPMC Chautauqua around 11:15 p.m. Thursday for the assault. It was reported to officers that the suspect Hernandez-Tirado of Dunkirk was involved in the incident. He was located at the hospital and taken into custody. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Derek T. Roberts, 45, no address listed, was charged with driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. A vehicle was stopped at 2:17 a.m. Wednesday in the area of East Second and Phillips streets for observed traffic infractions. An investigation found that Roberts was allegedly operating the vehicle while in an intoxicated state and on a suspended license due to a previous DWI. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE — Clifford L. Hickok II, 62, of Kennedy, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into an incident in which a young child sustained serious injuries Nov. 24. An investigation found that Hickok allegedly engaged in conduct that resulted in the young child sustaining serious physical injuries that required immediate medical attention. Two charged in traffic stop, drug discovery — HANOVER -- A three-month-long narcotics investigation in the Fredonia and Dunkirk areas ended with a traffic stop and the arrest of two individuals Monday afternoon. The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office along with narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Dunkirk Police Department stopped a vehicle being driven by Jennifer Jadwin on Route 5.
