ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Angelica L. Clark, 25, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny following an incident May 29. Officers were dispatched to Wegmans for a female shoplifter taken into custody by store security. Clark will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Rui Chen, 51, of Lakewood, was charged with disorderly conduct following an incident May 28. Officers were called to investigate an incident at 2:18 p.m. May 29. It is alleged that on May 28 Chen used her vehicle to block the intersection to Southwestern Central School on Southwestern Drive. Chen reportedly obstructed traffic as well as the normal operation of a Southwestern school bus. Chen was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Ellicott Town Court.

– Jason S. Smith, 54, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt following an incident May 30. Officers responded to an altercation which was occurring in the village at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Officers alleged Smith was found at the residence where an active order of protection/stay away order was active against him. Smith was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

– Paul Chimenti, 42, of Lakewood was charged with second-degree harassment following an incident May 30. Officers were called at 9:30 a.m. for a disorderly subject at Southwestern Middle School. It is alleged Chimenti engaged in conduct that constitutes harassment against the school administration. Chimenti was issued an appearance ticket for Ellicott Court for a later date.

– Steven M. Sandberg, 40, of Falconer, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator following an incident which took place May 31. Officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with personal injury at 4:36 p.m. May 31. Officers allege Sandberg fled the accident scene toward Jamestown. Ellicott and Jamestown police officers report Sandberg sped across several streets until he surrendered. Sandberg was taken to the county jail and the victim -who was in a crosswalk – was transported and released by UPMC Hospital after being treated.

– Dale R. Linkous Jr., 26, of Jamestown was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree harassment following an incident which happened June 2. Officers responded to a residence for an unwanted subject. Officers allege that Linkous was found in the residence basement and was taken to the county jail for arraignment.
