JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Wilfredo Castrillo, 49, of Jamestown, was charged June 20 with second-degree burglary, aggravated criminal contempt, first-degree criminal contempt, and two counts of third-degree criminal tampering. According to police, at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported domestic dispute on the east side. Frewsburg man pleads guilty to obscenity charge

Raymond Mason, 54, of Frewsburg, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara to possession of obscene visual depictions following a prior conviction, which carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of 20 years, and a $250,000 fine. Assistant U.S. Attorney Franz M. Wright, who is handling the case, stated that in February 2010, Mason was convicted of possession of child pornography and attempted receipt of child pornography, and was sentenced to serve 144 months in prison and a term of supervised release of life. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT --- PORTLAND --- At approximately 6:37 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an address for a report of an unwanted male who was letting horses loose from their pasture. Upon arrival, Jacob H. Tye, 39, of Brocton, was identified as the suspect and was taken into custody. Through further investigation, it was found that Tye did arrive at the property and unlawfully entered a building. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Arthur S. Norene, 48, of Jamestown, was charged June 17 with aggravated criminal contempt, third-degree assault, and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. According to police, at about 12:30 a.m., officers responded to a southside residence for a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation officers made contact with Norene, and determined that he allegedly had assaulted the victim before forcibly restraining the victim.
