JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Timothy R. Somnitz, 73, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded at 7 p.m. on Tuesday to a convenience store on the west side of the city for a complaint of a male allegedly exposing himself to children under the age of 7. Somnitz was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held for court.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Melissa E. Sweeney, 48, of Celoron, was charged with petit larceny. Sweeney was allegedly observed tag swapping during self-checkout at Walmart on Monday. Property was recovered for a total value of $98.35. Sweeney was issued a ticket to appear in court later.
