Jamestown Hands Kenmore First League Loss Tuesday
Jamestown won its fourth straight game, beating Kenmore 20-6 in Division 1 flag football Tuesday at Strider Field.
On the Red & Green’s second drive of the game, Marcia McIntyre threw an 11-yard touchdown to Kinsley Berg and McIntyre added the point-after run to make it 7-0.
Leading 7-6 at halftime, Jamestown added a pair of scores in the fourth quarter. First, Berg returned an interception for a touchdown. Then, Brito scored on a 20-yard touchdown run.
Brito finished with 21 carries for 81 yards, including the touchdown and a conversion run. McIntyre completed four passes with three of them going to Berg for 23 yards.
JaLeiya Glover led the defense with eight flag pulls. Maurianna Akins, Brito and Sydney Conti had five flag pulls apiece. Abbee Brandow, Berg and Conti each had an interception.
Kenmore, previously tied for first place, fell to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the division.
The Red & Green (5-5, 3-2) will visit Orchard Park (4-2-2, 2-1-1) on Monday.
