Mayville Man Jailed After Trafficking Investigation

MAYVILLE — A Mayville man subject to a lengthy investigation into narcotics trafficking throughout Chautauqua County was taken into custody Sunday by sheriff’s deputies.

Harry Radke, 42, was arrested at a residence around 9 p.m. in the village on felony counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia.

During the investigation, members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force reportedly made “numerous controlled purchases of methamphetamine and heroin” from Radke. He was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine while being taken into custody. The Mayville man was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and held for arraignment.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Dunkirk Police Department.

“Authorities continue to ask members of the community to call and report suspicious or narcotics related activity within their neighborhoods,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
