Two Charged With Meth Possession Following Accident

GERRY – Two south county residents have been charged with drug possession following an accident investigation.

On May 3 at about 1:15 p.m. Deputies responded to a traffic complaint on Rt 60 in the town of Gerry. The report indicated a northbound vehicle struck a guardrail causing significant damage then fled the area.

Deputies located the vehicle at Country Fair in Gerry. Following an investigation, the driver Zachary Clark, 56, of Jamestown was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. Further investigation found his passenger Jamie Warner, 42, of Ashville, to be in possession of methamphetamine.

After Warner was arrested, while being transported Warner allegedly attempted to hide items within a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle.

Warner was charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and felony tampering with physical evidence. Clark was charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance.

Both were taken to the county jail for arraignment.
