Slick

October is Adopt A Shelter Dog Month. The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue has dogs of all sizes, ages and personalities. The Dog of the Week is Slick. He would be a great dog to bring home. He’s a neutered male, guessed to be about 3-4 years old and an unknown mix of something or other. He arrived as a stray, and he has a number of scars on him; his previous life was probably a sad one. He likes all the people he meets, and he definitely needs a cat-free home. He walks well on a leash, seems OK with some, but not all other dogs, and would love to have a warm, cozy home with a soft bed to lay on. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, and is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Many of the dogs can be seen online at www.caninerescue.org. Applications for the dogs can be found on their online pages; an application does not commit someone to adopt but helps speed the adoption process along.
