Audubon Has Opportunities For College Students In Summer
The Audubon Community Nature Center is accepting applications through Wednesday, March 4, for summer nature education Interns to lead discovery walks for school students in May and June, serve as summer day camp counselors in July and August, participate in walks and classes for professional development and assist with daily operations of the Nature Center, including recycling, compost, cleaning, and maintenance.
School credit is possible for the position. In addition to income, summer nature education interns will gain significant experience working with elementary age students in classroom settings as well as outside the formal classroom, a better understanding of the workings of a small non-profit, knowledge of the natural world, and an appreciation that environmental education is a way of life, not a field of interest.
