COVID Vaccine Clinic Is Set

FINDLEY LAKE — Univera Healthcare and Kinney Drugs, in conjunction with the Chautauqua County Department of Health, will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic today from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Mina-Findley Lake Community Center, 2883 North Road, Findley Lake. All state residents ages 18 and older may attend. Appointments are required and can be made online at kinneydrugs.as.me/Univera-ChautauquaCounty. Attendees must be prepared to show identification and a health insurance card. Univera Healthcare is the first area health insurer to host a vaccine clinic in Chautauqua County. The nonprofit health plan is headquartered in Buffalo and has a Chautauqua County office on West Third Street in Jamestown. Kinney Drugs operates a chain of 96 full-service drug stores located throughout New York and Vermont.

Wildflower Walk To Be Held

Every Wednesday afternoon from May 5 through June 2, Jeff Tome, Audubon Community Nature Center senior nature educator, leads a wildflower walk through Werner Park in Russell, Pa. Werner Park is located at 6051 Market St., Russell. Participants meet for the hour walk at 3 p.m. near the trailhead that is past the woodchip piles and near the pavilion. Tome has spent years identifying, photographing, gardening with, and learning about local wildflowers. Face coverings are required for Audubon outdoor programs during which participants cannot maintain six feet of distance between family groups; have a face covering available. There is a limit of 12 people per walk. The cost is $6 or $4 for Nature Center members and children ages 9 to 15. Paid reservations are required the Tuesday prior. Ripley School Board To Meet

RIPLEY — Members of the Ripley Central School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, in the school cafeteria. A public hearing will be held afterward to present the school budget that was adopted by the board. Masks must be worn and social distancing will be practiced

Auxiliary Will Hold Meeting

LAKEWOOD — Members of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 6. The monthly auxiliary meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, and please note the change in day. A memorial service for deceased members who passed in 2020 will be held. A program by Pallative Care of Jamestown will follow. Greeters for the meeting are Ann Gullotti and Connie Storms. Helpers will be Arline Hazenberg and Karen Carlson. In charge of refreshments are Jan Moran and Sally Gregory. Sign-up sheets will be available for volunteers to work outside at any summer function that may be held or to help hand out membership cards at the Club’s door.

St. John’s Sets Bocci Meeting

There will be a Bocci meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 10, at St. John’s Church, 270 Newton Ave., Jamestown. Anyone interested in playing in the Catholic Bocci League on Monday or Wednesday nights is asked to attend the meeting. Those unable to attend are asked to call Rich at 487-0071 or Joe at 483-5356.
