Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary To Meet Today

CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga American Legion Post 1280 Auxiliary will hold its April meeting on Tuesday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion Hall, 228 Maple Ave., Cassadaga. All unit members are encouraged to attend.

Christian Women’s Group Gathers Today In Russell

The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will celebrate its 50th anniversary Tuesday, April 14, at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon program at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. Spiritual speaker is Pastor J. Maier of the First Church of the Nazarene, Warren. Music is by Jeremy Earnhardt, Warren, and Laura Whitten of Warren will summarize her mother Helen’s keeping the group’s historical records over 35 years. Reg Lenna To Screen Documentary Wednesday

Mr. Nobody Against Putin will be screened at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. The film is the 2026 Academy Award winner for Best Documentary Feature. Pasha Talankin is a Russian primary school teacher, known as a mentor and prankster who offers students a safe haven in his office. After Russia invades Ukraine, Talankin documents intimate and revealing footage of Putin’s regime, capturing the rise of militarized children’s groups, repressive laws, fervent nationalism, and the recruitment of graduating students to fight in the war. When he learns his own life may be at risk, Pasha is forced to plan a dangerous escape from Russia. Mr. Nobody Against Putin is unrated and is 90 minutes long. Upcoming Movies at The Reg include a special showing of the 1995 comedy To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (June 10 at 7 p.m.) – presented with Jamestown Pride.Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online at reglenna.com and by calling 716-484-7070. Antique Car Club To Meet On Wednesday

The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday, April 15, at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.
