To The Reader’s Forum: There have now been 14 deaths in the last 14 days in Chautauqua County (September 27, 2021) Today’s paper reports Borrello’s co-sponsorship of a bill to rescind the child care mask mandate. Since the bill won’t even be considered until January, it is clear to me that the sole purpose of the senator’s involvement is to cater to his political base; to say, “See, I care about your ‘freedom’ to defy mandates.” Yes, it’s difficult to keep masks on little kids.
