To the Readers Forum: 9-11 has been over 20 years ago, but most of us remember how evil it was. Two planes crashed into the twin towers, one into the Pentagon, and one into a field in Pennsylvania. Many people were killed. The killers were Muslims who were pretending to be men interested in learning to fly places. The Muslims smiled and laughed, but they were evil men. International Airport Designation Could Help Airport

To the Readers’ Forum: I have recently read the excellent commentary by the editor about a possible international designation at the airport in Jamestown. Bravo for putting the issue in the spotlight. Every time I have traveled from New York City (where I am a resident) to Jamestown (my hometown), I have lamented the fact that I could not fly into Jamestown. To The Reader’s Forum: Thank you to the adults involved in planning and chaperoning the capstone trip for students in the Holocaust and Social Justice Program of Chautauqua County. Before I retired, I was an Independent Contractor (inspector) working for a company that built Nuclear Submarines. From my experience and background, the majority of these failures are due to poor maintenance, inspection, testing and verifications by the Airlines and FAA Inspection practices.
