The Randolph cheerleaders have had an exhilarating competitive season this fall.

This marks their second season competing in game day cheer — a dynamic style that includes four key components: a band dance, situational sideline cheer, crowd-leading cheer and a fight song. Each routine lasts approximately three minutes, and the team is evaluated on various skills such as stunts, motions and tumbling.

So far this season, the Randolph cheerleaders have participated in four game day competitions: Red and Gold Spirit Rumble at Olean High School, The Quaker Cheer Challenge at Orchard Park High School and Maroon and White Cheer Challenge at Eden High school, and have secured first place in all of them, including the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Game Day Cheer Championship hosted at Randolph Central School. This impressive achievement makes them two-time league champions. On Sunday, the team will compete in The Section VI Game Day Championship in the Class C division.

The Randolph cheerleaders continue to set a high standard, not only for future teams but for cheer squads in the area as well. Their coaches are incredibly proud of the team’s dedication and spirit. This year’s squad is truly exceptional; they hold themselves and each other accountable while consistently putting the team first.

Members of Randolph’s team include: seniors Erin Briggs, Makenna Burrows, Isa Syracuse, Madison Green, Savana Hubbard, Lindsey Plaskett, Nichole Smith and Lilliann Thompson; juniors Grace Benson, Mara Harvey, Alyia Oliverio, Mia Olofson and Erinn Sluga; sophomores Kierra Dexter, Rileigh Jensen and Ryann Rowland; freshmen Chloe Braley, Korina Cronk and Aubrey Green; and eighth-grader Gabriella Chapman.

Abbie Shevlin is the team’s head coach, assisted by Ashley Olofson and Sydney Francis.

Starting at $2.99/week.
