Jackals Post Road Victory Over Toledo In TBL Playoffs

TOLEDO, Ohio — Eric Mack and Thomas Garrick scored 17 points apiece to lead Jamestown to a 90-86 victory over Toledo in a second-round playoff game in The Basketball League on Friday night.

Bernard Edwards chipped in 13 points, Julius Brooks added 11 and Malik Ellison collected 10 for the Jackals, who entered the postseason as the top seed.

Jamestown didn’t shoot especially well last night (32 of 84 from the floor) and it turned the ball over 19 times, but it pulled down 60 rebounds, led by Daniel Mulamba’s 11 and Antwan Wilkerson’s 10.

Christopher Darrington and Devonte Pratt led Glass City with 23 points apiece, and Clemmye Owens V had 17, but the hosts were hampered by poor shooting as well (32 of 84).

With a 1-0 lead, the Jackals can close out the best-of-three series at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Physical Education Complex at Jamestown Community College. Playoff tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors (65-and-older) and veterans. Children under 4 are admitted free.
