He resides not in New York where Governor Hochul arbitrarily issued an indoor public mask edict on everyone under the threat of a $ 1,000 fine. That’s freedom contraction, not expansion. To The Reader’s Forum: The Nov. 24th editorial critical of Mayor Eddie Sundquist representing fellow Democrat Regina Brackman at the County Board of Elections absentee vote count and subsequent hand count of all ballots was off the mark. Councilwoman Regina Brackman asked Eddie, an attorney, to represent her and of course he agreed. To The Reader’s Forum: There have now been 14 deaths in the last 14 days in Chautauqua County (September 27, 2021) Today’s paper reports Borrello’s co-sponsorship of a bill to rescind the child care mask mandate. Since the bill won’t even be considered until January, it is clear to me that the sole purpose of the senator’s involvement is to cater to his political base; to say, “See, I care about your ‘freedom’ to defy mandates.” Yes, it’s difficult to keep masks on little kids.
